SUMMER IS HERE!

 Well, if the early May Bank Holiday is anything to go by then summer is here and it was great to see people enjoying themselves in the warm sunshine. I had a great sail with some friends just a short hop from Fowey to Polperro (about 6 NM). We picked up a mooring buoy in the outer harbour, eat our pasties, sat in the sun a bit and sailed back to Fowey! Found a new restaurant to add to my list. Try Knightor (near the Eden Project)  which is not only a restaurant but is a winery as well……..and they do tours. Very good Italian cuisine – see www.knightor.com

It has been a slow start to the season for everybody because Easter was so early and…..cold but  NOW!  bookings are strong and we look forward to welcoming new guests to Langdale House and those lovely places such as Charlestown, Fowey, Mevagissey, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Caerhays Castle & Gardens and of course Eden are all there nearby waiting for your visit. We can now issue Eden Tickets at Langdale House for your visit. Remember too that because Cornwall is a peninsula it is not far to drive across to the North Coast and drive along the Atlantic Highway visiting places like Watergate Bay, Treyarnon Bay, Harlyn Bay, Padstow, Wadebridge, Polzeath, Port Quin & Port Isaac where they film “Doc Martin”.
